Brief
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Whitnash, Royal Leamington Spa wanted to develop a small corner of their existing playground into a new Storytelling Area for their Key Stage 1 pupils. The School invited The School Playground Company the opportunity to quote for the first phase of the Story Telling Area, which was to supply and lay new Artificial Play Grass to the existing tarmac playground surface.
Storytelling Area Key Phase 1 – Artificial Grass Surface
Initially The School Playground Company were chosen to lay its 24mm Pile High Play Grass, with cushioning 10mm roll out shock-pad and wheelchair friendly ramped rubber edging detail, to fix down on the existing tarmac playground surface.
Storytelling Area Phase 2 – Primary School Storytelling Furniture
A few months later, after the installation of the playground grass St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School once again asked The School Playground Company to return to the playground to complete its Key Stage 1 Storytelling area and to add items from its School storytelling furniture range. The School chose A Storytelling Chair, Rubber Topped Colourful Seating Mushrooms, Portable Artificial Grass Topped Seating Cubes and the 1.5m Timber Backless Benches.
